Getting started

How do I sign in?

Open Snappy Driver and enter the email address and password for your driver account, then tap Sign In. Your account is provided by Snappy Shopper when you join as a driver.

I've forgotten my password

On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password?, enter your account email, and we'll send you a link to set a new password. Open the link on your phone and it will take you back into the app to finish resetting.

Your shift

How do I start a shift?

From the home screen tap Start shift. You'll be asked to allow location access the first time — this lets us share your delivery progress and assign you nearby orders. You only receive orders while you're on shift.

How do I finish for the day?

End your shift from the home screen when you've made your last drop. You won't be assigned new orders once you're off shift.

Orders & deliveries

How do I get orders?

While you're on shift, orders assigned to you appear in your orders list with the pickup and drop-off details. Open an order to see the items and the customer's address.

How do I scan an order at pickup?

Use the in-app QR scanner to scan the order's QR code at the store so you pick up the right bags. The app uses your camera only for scanning these codes.

Navigation

How do I navigate to a customer?

Open an order and start navigation to hand off to your preferred maps app. You can set Google Maps or Waze as your preferred navigation app in Settings (the option appears when the app is installed on your phone).

Proof of delivery

How do I confirm a delivery?

When you arrive, follow the arrival steps to confirm the drop-off. Depending on the order you may capture the customer's signature on screen.

What about age-restricted items?

For orders that include age-restricted items (for example alcohol), the app will prompt you to carry out an age check before completing the delivery. Follow the on-screen steps to record it.

Cash & tips

Where do I see cash owed and tips?

The app tracks the cash you owe and the tips you've received across your shift, so you can keep on top of your takings.

Permissions & notifications

Why does the app need my location?

Snappy Driver uses your location while you're on shift to share your delivery progress with the store and customer and to assign you nearby orders. Choose Always so the app can keep the server updated while it's in the background during a shift — you'll see the status bar indicator whenever your location is being used, and location is only used while you're on shift.

Should I turn on notifications?

Yes — enable notifications so you're alerted about new orders and updates while you're on shift.

Troubleshooting

My location isn't updating

Open your phone's Settings → Snappy Driver → Location and make sure it's set to Always with Precise Location on. Check you have a mobile signal, and make sure you're on shift. If it still won't update, sign out and back in, or reinstall the app.

I'm not receiving orders

Check that you're on shift, connected to the internet, and that notifications are enabled. If the problem continues, contact driver support below.

The app isn't working as expected

Make sure you're on the latest version, then restart the app. If the issue continues, get in touch with driver support and let us know your name, phone, and what happened.
